Free Wrent

My son gave me a nice Wren house, but they seem much more interested  in this brightly coloured one I got from the dollar store.  I made a little swing in the trees and I am thrilled that so many birds have actually used it to perch. Its just a stick and some string. The bigger birds have taken pieces of it to build their nests.

May long weekend!

Image
Wishing you a happy and safe long weekend!  How is it May long weekend already?  Guess I should take down the xmas decor outside lol. I will be hanging out with the Grosbeak family that is living in our yard and doing some serious gardening. I love the colour on these birds. They remind me of calico cats :) Tomorrow is the 69th anniversary of the Sarnia Tornado.   I have a few pictures posted of the damage, taken on Kodachrome 35mm

What a crazy few weeks it has been. My family lost our Matriarch, my wonderful grandmother.  She is one of the reasons I am so passionate about photography, birds and dolls.  I took this last week on the way home from visiting her for the last time in palliative care. I have fallen a little behind in answering emails so please bear with me.

Free Scrapbook and Junk Journal Printables *Updated April 19, 2022 Photos are best saved from a desktop Enjoy these free scanned images from my paper stash. I have digitally altered some of the images but most of them are original scans Click on photo to view in a gallery. Right Click to save the photo This one was originally made with watercolour paper, rubber stamps and inks.   This cool woodcut of a bagpiper and his dog is from a magazine published in 1898. From a vintage Sears catalogue   This is just a vintage book page with a rubber stamp. This technique looks great in a frame all on its own. I always look for vintage novels with thicker soft pages as they hold the ink nicely,                                                                 Click Here for More Postcard Printables Cli
