Nemo Hall, Petrolia, Ontario, during a snowstorm

Image
Nemo Hall - Petrolia, Ontario Much of Southern Ontario experienced a good old fashioned snowstorm last week. Nice thick stuff that sticks to the trees and makes everything look all pretty and Christmasy.  Nemo Hall , built in 1878, is the only remaining building of the Second Empire Style in the town of Petrolia. I think it looks timeless in the snow.

Kodachrome of the day - Man selling slides in Europe

Image
I love this Kodachrome because this photo captures something that probably doesn't exist anymore. A street vendor selling slides.  These sets contained professionally photographed pictures of all the famous places you would be most likely to visit on your vacation. The picture below is a set that the vendor most likely had for sale. Some of the photos in this set included these gems. Check out these amateur kodachromes of Rome . I think these are better than the professional ones.

I love this photo! It was taken in the early 1960s in Hollywood Ca.  I currently have it for sale on Ebay if you are interested in the original slide.
