I have finally opened an Etsy store after a year of procrastinating. I really wanted to keep my Miniatures separate from my photography business and this seems to be the easiest way. Not very full at the moment and a little dull on the store design but give me another year and Ill get around to it!! Redwood Retro's Etsy Store!

This summer I have been learning how to work with fondant icing. Very similar in texture to polymer clay ( tastes a little better lol) but fondant dries faster than clay so you have to work at a much faster pace. The Harley-Davidson was my first project. I only did the Bike part of the cake and my aunt did the rest. I made the Superman for the second cake.

I love this Kodachrome because this photo captures something that probably doesn't exist anymore. A street vendor selling slides. These sets contained professionally photographed pictures of all the famous places you would be most likely to visit on your vacation. The picture below is a set that the vendor most likely had for sale. Some of the photos in this set included these gems. Check out these amateur kodachromes of Rome . I think these are better than the professional ones.

This is a very simple card to make with scraps. The background is a photocopy of an old postcard. The stamp is real. The ticket and the words are rubber stamps on scrap paper and the ship graphic is from an antique book. The quote is from Tim Holz Stamp Set - The Journey Click here for Vintage Ship graphics you can use in a project.
