Historical Maps of Toronto

Image
Have you ever wondered what stood on the property where you live or what was on the corner before a Starbucks popped up? These three sites probably have the information you are looking for.  I've spent an entire afternoon playing with these sites, checking out places across the city I've lived, childhood haunts and well known Toronto landmarks to see what stood before my time.  Awesome time waster!  Old Toronto Maps - This is a great site created by 2014 Heritage Toronto Award of Merit winner Nathan Ng. Well organized and easy to use. Wendy Smith of the Toronto Park Lot Project has created an awesome interactive historical map of the founding days of Toronto. Toronto Historical Map Viewer - Overlays of maps from 1818 to 2013. See what stood on your home's land a century ago.
